On September 28, 2001, a Ty-signed blue America was listed on eBay by a Ty employee to raise money for the American Red Cross. The auction ended on October 5, 2001 with a high bid of $24,000. The winning bid was submitted by eBay user Ryebypost from the UK. There are five other versions of America.
